How to choose your Acer driver
1. Find the complete model
Check the device label, BIOS or system information. Include the suffix and variant, such as A515-56. A series name alone may cover several incompatible devices.
2. Match the operating system
Read your Windows version and system architecture in Settings → System → About. Use a system actually recorded for the model. A newer system is not automatically compatible with an older package.
3. Identify the installed hardware
In Windows Device Manager, check the device name and hardware IDs. A laptop may ship with Intel, Realtek, Qualcomm or other network adapters. Several vendor entries do not mean you need to install all of them.
4. Review the package
Compare the exact model, system, version, filename and vendor on the detail page. Follow Acer’s installation instructions. Firmware and BIOS updates require exact device matching and stable power.
ChromeOS devices
For a Chromebook, use the built-in ChromeOS update settings and Acer’s support information. Windows packages are not a replacement for ChromeOS updates.
No match?
Do not choose a similar model as a substitute. Open Acer official support with your full model or serial number.
